A man named Pana Lal, who lives in the Civil Lines police station area of Dayan district, had five daughters. When his wife became pregnant for the sixth time, he cut his wife's abdomen to see if she had a son or a daughter in her womb.
When the locals came to know about the incident, they rushed the victim to the district hospital from where she was referred to Bareilly Medical College due to her critical condition. On the other hand, the police have arrested the accused husband.
