Middle schools have opened in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where educational activities have started from sixth to eighth grade.
The NCOC had allowed the commencement of classes VI to VIII, which has resumed educational activities in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan from today to VI to VIII. It has been made mandatory to check the temperature of students and teachers on arrival at the school. In addition, sanitizers have been provided in the schools and entry into the school without a mask is prohibited.
Due to social distance, classes have been divided into shifts and no assembly is being held in schools while canteens have also been kept closed. Director Balochistan Education Department said that no school will be closed if students and staff come positive. Affected students and teachers will be quarantined for 14 days, while students and teachers will be able to return to school if their coroner's report is negative.
It may be mentioned that the Sindh government has postponed the decision to open schools in the second phase from September 21 to September 28 in view of the increasing cases of Corona.
