Sharjah: By beating Pakistan in the second Twenty20 international match and taking the three-match series 0-2, Afghanistan made new history.

In the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, Afghanistan trounced Pakistan by seven wickets to take an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series.

This is Afghanistan's second win against Pakistan in any international match and the first series they have managed to win against Pakistan.

Rahmanullah Garbaz of Afghanistan scored 44 runs, Ibrahim Zadran scored 38 runs, Najeebullah Zadran scored 23 runs, and Mohammad Nabi scored 14 runs, helping Afghanistan defeat Pakistan by 3 wickets in the final over. For Pakistan, Zaman Khan and Ehsanullah each grabbed one wicket.

In the second T20 match at the Sharjah Cricket Ground, Pakistan cricket team captain Shadab Khan won the toss and decided to bat first, but Pakistan's top order proved to once more be a sand barrier in front of the Afghan bowlers. In the stipulated 20 overs, the Pakistani team could only manage 130 runs while losing 6 wickets.

Pakistan opener Saeem Ayub and Muhammad Haris came to bat but on the second ball of the first over, Saeem Ayub returned to the pavilion without opening his account, Abdullah Shafiq also got out without scoring any runs on the next ball.
